Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium tickets & upcoming events

Thinking about catching a show at the Marin Veterans Memorial Auditorium? Well, you're in for a treat. This place isn’t just a venue; it’s a piece of local history with a real vibe. Since it opened, it’s hosted all sorts of events that have become part of Marin County’s soul. For instance, did you know it’s been a hub for the Marin County Open Studios art event since 2010? That’s where regional artists showcase their talents, turning the auditorium into a mini gallery. And if you’re into old-school Western fun, the annual regional rodeo held here from 1958 all the way to 2019 made it a local favorite, yeah, folks still talk about those summer nights. The hall’s also got some serious musical cred. Back in 1989, it hosted a heartfelt tribute concert for folk legend Joan Baez, who’s actually a Marin local. And during the turbulent 1960s, it was more than just a concert space, this place played a role in civil rights protests, giving voice to the community’s passion. So whether you’re there for a symphony, a rock show, or just soaking in the history, the auditorium’s got that special Marin charm that’s hard to find elsewhere.
